Emerging demands for high data rate services and high spectral efficiency are the key driving forces for the continued technology evolution in new generation wireless communications. The third generation (3G) mobile communication systems have already been commercially deployed to meet the initial demand for high data rate packet-based services. The fourth generation (4G) such as Long Term Evaluation (LTE) has been developed and deployed in certain parts of the world to reach much higher data rate for the increased data demand. To achieve the goal of high data rate demand, the new generation wireless system requires not only coverage but capacity which impact current network architecture and radio technology. This presentation will address the innovations for radio technology in new generation wireless communications which include:
1. Radio linearity technology (CFR and DPD)
2. MIMO/ Beamforming Challenges in LTE Advance
3. New network architectures for new generation wireless communications
4. New generation radio products (lightradio/liquid radio/Air)
5. Wideband Wireless backhauling
